OF PRESIDENTIABLES AND COMMUNISTS…

Senators Manuel Villar, Panfilio Lacson, Loren Legarda, Jinggoy Estrada… what do they have in common? Of course, they all wanted to be the next President of this Republic. So much grandstanding was seen on the tri-media for the past few months. This bunch of personalities has been all-around clinging to juicy issues. From the Manila Peninsula incident to the NBN anomalies; they have stayed on camera focus so that every household will see their face and hopefully vote for them in 2010. For a traditional politician (TRAPO), every effort of acting out in front of the camera is but a normal thing to do, since a free airtime once in a while adds up to the people’s familiarity on their faces. However, with the fact that these politicians made tie-ups with the local communist movement, they are evidently playing with fire. At the height of Rodolfo “Jun” Lozada’s revelations regarding the NBN deal anomalies, these senators sprouted like mushrooms, eager to grab the opportunity of going with the trend and hopefully, to jack-up their “pogi” or “ganda points”. At this point, the local communists, with Satur Ocampo tagging along his BAYAN MUNA communist supporters are so bright to exploit the situation and offered alliance with the unwitting senators, which, the politicians unthinkingly accepted. It was quite incomprehensive for the sensible people of this country that the law-makers have the guts to corroborate themselves with the enemy of the state. Everybody knows that the CPP-NPA-NDF’s main objective is to bring down the administration and they have tried doing that by exploiting the mess Jun Lozada has made. Protest actions were held, an Interfaith Rally was initiated, the church meddled with politics, the youth was impelled in joining street actions etc.. Such scenario was a wet dream for Satur Ocampo and his goons since a little inch more and it was supposedly a total mayhem. However, the handsome and beautiful senators were nowhere in sight, manifesting that they are playing safe for the outcome of the supposedly destabilization activities. Surely, these witty senators will only come out if everything was clear and the President was already ousted. Coming out in the open during the still unpredictable scenario may blemish their names if a revolution failed to materialize. It was clear that the senators want it “well-done”… not “medium rare”. As of now, the all-time ever-assuming genius of the local communist was scratching his head why these senators left them in the open. By now, Satur Ocampo decided not anymore to tag along these senators who seemingly does not have the drive to crush the administration, but rather, are only interested only in their political careers comes 2010. On the contrary, the communist are keen in bringing down the administration since it remained to be their utmost goal. With the contradicting objectives, the alliance between the Senators (read: Presidentiables) and the local communists has been tarnished, but both of them are far from giving up their goal. One is to be the next leader thru traditional politics, while the other is to ruin democracy and instill communisms. For the thinking majority, both of which will not help the country…
